Mrs. Brown and "Do It Yourself"

It's canola time again in Harden, took this on Saturday with the brief respite from the rain. The miserable weather has been almost relentless and it looks like we will see sunshine again on Wednesday. Urggh, the long range forecast is still predicting rain for Saturday week...THE WEDDING my fingers and toes are crossed that it is wrong. Surely it can't rain 3 weekends in a row???

I've been busy with wedding stuff,
I've been crafty, which I'm not usually, but I made this the other day for the top of the garden arch.

and some tulle bows for the sides of the arch , I'll use them on the front of the wedding table after the ceremony I think.

9 days to go!!!!!!!!!

I've also been browsing Wedding forums ,I came across a thread that had me in stitches. Brides to be were asking about Brazillians, to wax or not to was very.....enlightening.
then someone posted this on facebook : It cracked me up ...

  1. Is the wedding on the 15th? My stepdaughter's wedding is on the 15th :)

I've never really done wedding-y stuff with anyone before, it was weird to go shopping with her for decorations. She's just having a small-ish country wedding, so it's been more fun than planning for a formal wedding. I'm excited for her, but my husband is dreading it lol. I think he can't believe his little girl is 25 already...:P

  2. Love what you've made! So pretty! And I'm sending all the positive vibes I can your way for a perfect wedding day- weather and all!

  3. I hope the weather behaves.

I'm definately put off home waxing now...

    Read and be read ExposeYourBlog!

  4. Mrs Brown's Boys is the funniest tv programme on tv right now. It has me nearly wetting myself laughing. Really good for the soul :)

Hope you have a lovely day for the wedding and I love the things you have made X

  5. At home bikini waxing in the dark...maybe it will become a new extreme sport.

Anyway, I will try to send you some Las Vegas sunshine for the wedding day.

  6. I hope you have a lovely day for the wedding!! AND that was a great video!

  7. Can't wait to see more pictures!

    I am so excited!

  8. Tell all the rain to come to Texas and we'll welcome it with open arms. You've made some really lovely things for the wedding- it is sure to be a gorgeous time!

  9. For someone who isn't crafty, you're pretty crafty! :)

  10. You made some really lovely things for the wedding. You ARE crafty!!

And that video is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while. I laughed until I had tears running down my cheeks.

    I'll watch it again.

And send to a couple friends.

  11. Hi! The video clip had me howling, good thing I was out of earshot of everyone. Here's hoping the wedding day is clear and sunny; sending positive thoughts for the weather...
